Processing History
A complete, searchable log of every rename and move — with one-click undo and redo.
What It Is
FilesDesk records every operation it performs: original name, new name, file type and size, the AI provider used, status, and timestamp — up to 10,000 entries.
How It Helps You
- Confidence — automation you can always reverse is automation you can trust.
- Auditability — see exactly what a batch did, when, and with which provider.
- Recovery — undo restores the original name; undo-move returns a file to its previous folder; redo re-applies either.
Finding Things
- Search any part of a filename.
- Filter by status: all, renamed, moved, skipped, failed.
- Sort by time, name, provider, or file size.
- Combined badges — a file renamed then moved shows both
RENAMEDandMOVED. - Total / Success / Failed summary chips, live auto-refresh, and a capacity footer.
Undo Is Smart
Even if an Organize Flow added a prefix or timestamp after the AI rename, FilesDesk tracks the final on-disk name and reverses it correctly — and a just-undone file won’t be instantly re-processed by a watcher.
Industries That Benefit
| Industry | How they use it |
|---|---|
| Compliance-heavy teams | A timestamped log of every file operation supports audit and records-retention policies. |
| Bookkeepers | Verify a client’s monthly batch processed cleanly — and roll back any file that didn’t. |
| Anyone automating | Watch folders plus full undo means mistakes cost one click, not an afternoon. |
