FilesDesk is a desktop app that reads what’s inside your files and gives them clear, descriptive names automatically. This page walks you through installing it on Windows or macOS.

Install on Windows

Get it from the Microsoft Store
Visit the Microsoft Store and click “Get” — the recommended path, with automatic updates.

Install
Installation is automatic. Once complete, FilesDesk appears in your Start menu.

Launch
Open FilesDesk from your Start menu or desktop shortcut.
Install on Mac
Notarized by Apple. FilesDesk ships as a signed, notarized build with native support for Apple Silicon (M1–M4) and Intel Macs — it opens cleanly, no Rosetta required.

Download the DMG
Visit filesdesk.app/download and pick your build — Apple Silicon (M1–M4), Intel, or Universal.

Open and drag to Applications
Double-click the downloaded
.dmg, drag the FilesDesk icon into your Applications folder, then eject the installer. - 3
First launch
Open FilesDesk from Applications or Spotlight. The app is notarized by Apple, so it opens without a security prompt.
