Templates Overview

Pre-built naming templates for common use cases.

What Are Templates?

Templates are pre-configured naming patterns designed for specific file types and workflows. Each template defines a pattern using fields that FilesDesk fills in automatically using AI analysis or file metadata.

Using Templates

  1. Select files to rename
  2. Choose a template from the dropdown
  3. Preview the results
  4. Click Rename

Customizing Templates

All templates can be customized:

  1. Go to SettingsTemplates
  2. Select a template
  3. Click Duplicate
  4. Modify the pattern and AI instructions
  5. Save with a new name
