What are credits?

1 credit = 1 file name suggestion. Each time you use AI to generate a name for a file, it costs 1 credit.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes! You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard. You'll keep access until the end of your billing period.

What's the difference between Self-Managed Lifetime and Subscriptions?

Self-Managed Lifetime ($20 one-time): You bring your own API keys OR run local AI (Ollama). No managed credits, no recurring fees. Subscriptions ($5-15/month): We provide managed AI credits each month. No BYOK or Local AI access.

Do credits expire?

Subscription credits reset monthly and don't roll over. Lifetime license doesn't use credits at all - you have unlimited usage with your own API keys or local AI.

Can I use BYOK with a subscription?

No. Subscriptions only include managed AI credits. If you want to use your own API keys (OpenAI, Claude, etc.) or run local AI, you need the Self-Managed Lifetime license.

Can I have both Self-Managed Lifetime and a Subscription?

You can only use one at a time. Choose Self-Managed Lifetime if you want full control with your own AI, or Subscriptions if you prefer managed credits with zero setup.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, UPI, net banking, and various local payment methods through Razorpay.

IMPORTANT: After purchasing a subscription or starting your free trial, open FilesDesk, go to Settings, and select "FilesDesk AI" as your AI model. This ensures you use the included AI service with your credits instead of needing your own API keys.
